The courses presented include:
A. Basic (level 1) Introduction course (2 Days)
• Part time four wheel drive;
• Permanent four wheel drive;
• Centre differential;
• Differential locks;
• Traction control;
• Off road vehicle accessories;
• Basic off road driving techniques, etc.
B. Intermediate (level 2) Course (3 Days)
An in depth and hands on course, which include the following:
• Vehicle
o Preparation
o Application of off road accessories
o Bush break downs
• Recovery
o Winching
o High lift jack (including winching)
o Tug gem straps
• Pre Safari
o Planning
o Packing
• Safari
o Bush camping
o Bush survival
• GPS/Astro
o Theory and practical
C. Advanced (level 3) Course (5 days)
This is where you will apply all the knowledge you have gained to overcome the rigours of Hell Mountain. Tracking through virgin bush you will apply the following practical applications:
• Night driving, with/without lights using Night Vision equipment
• Low range four wheel drive; Slopes;
• Cross axle simulation;
• Wading;
• Basic and Advanced recovery techniques;
• Camping and cooking under the stars.
Please note that our off road excursions are not based on the Camel Trophy events, but are designed to bring you in touch with the great outdoors by means of a four wheel drive vehicle.
Our equipment includes the following:
• 12 x Grand Cherokee 4 x 4's
• 8 x Special Forces utility vehicles
• 6 x Quad bikes
• 6 x Moto Cross bikes
• 6 x Fun Jeeps
• 2 x Search/Rescue Helicopters
All vehicles are fitted with two way satellite communications. night vision equipment and GPS navigational systems
