Entertainment / Repatriation of Profits

Entertainment will be provided by the best of local entertainers from Africa, comprising musicians, vocalists and dancers etc. A form of talent show or competition will be set up specifically for this purpose, either in collaboration with SABC, MNet (TV) or via local radio stations for selection. This will be an on going scenario in order to meet the two-week turn around of entertainers supplying the Shebeen.

Currently our agents in South Africa are preparing the overseas logistical measures required to enable the first batch of entertainers to arrive for the opening night in mid April 2002.

Several matters need to be addressed in order to operate the smooth running of this part of the operation.

•African TV/Radio have been contacted for viability of running the talent shows
•Timings and logistics for shows
•Valid selection to ensure integrity of entertainers
•Completion of all necessary formal Government documentation
•Completion of all transportation details
•Completion of all bureaucratic matters
•Travel documents to be completed for entertainers

Several major airlines have indicated willingness to fly the entertainers to London at a reduced rate or free of charge in return for promotional advertising, although the project has budgeted for the inclusion of airfares for the performers. The trip will comprise of a two-week stay in London, as guests of the company with all necessary expenses being funded by the Shebeen.

Once in London they will be accommodated within hotel complexes and transport will be provided to and from the venue.

On completion of their tour they will be flown back and replaced by another group or individuals. It is envisaged therefore that during the first year a large number of entertainers will have had the opportunity of being part of this project.

The company will repatriate
40% of the annual net profits back into the African communities. The procedure for this will be in conjunction with the South African Government to ensure that only genuine projects are funded.  It has been decided that the initial funding will be designated to Education although other projects will be considered.

All funding will be subject to current UK and South African government approval.
